Teaching Proposal implementing ICT with active-participatory methodologies in Cellular Biology for Nursing

Abstract

Due to mobility restrictions in Chile due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) is carrying out its teaching activities virtually. The objective was the design of an educational innovation proposal with active-participatory methodologies and ICT for Cellular Biology course of Nursing students at UNAB, Santiago campus. Learning styles of the students it was censored through the Kolb Test, they were used to plan classes with active-participatory methodological activities and virtual tools to favor the learning of the students. After the implementation, execution, and analysis of the results, it concluded that the learning style of the first-year Nursing students at UNAB is convergent. Teaching work is improved through active-participatory methodologies and ICT, evidenced by the 100% approval of the project by the students and the course teacher. Were implemented the recommendations of the validation experts who approved the design and validated the project with 96% acceptance.
